Billie Boutique Montreal Fashionista Blogger Event!
My evening at the Billie Boutique Bloggers event could not have been more perfect. Surrounded by drop dead gorgeous clothes, fellow dazzling fashionistas (and bloggers at that!), champagne, gourmet cupcakes, giveaways, goody bags and shopping discounts… I was in my personal version of heaven!!!
I really admire the team that makes up the Billie Boutique (located at 141 Laurier West), as not only do they share a love for all things fashion, but they are just as addicted to the blogosphere as the guests they invited. Owning and operating their own blog, Billie Girls, they cover everything local from great fashion finds and hotspots to makeup tips and how-to’s… everything a girl would ever need to know while living in the cosmopolitan that is Montreal.
This enchanting man got a few of my thoughts about the event and my personal view on style via video to post on the Billie Girls blog… stay tuned for my mini-interview…
The absolute best thing about events like these is meeting the people behind the blogs who attend. I am by no means much of a social butterfly – in fact, it actually terrifies me to approach people… however I lucked out by either being introduced or being approached and in turn met some tres chic little ladies and gentlemen… above Laure Juilliard (right) from the blog Une Parisienne a Montreal. I love the restaurants she reviews and the beautiful foamy lattes that pop out of her pictures and into my mind… Mmmmm… she makes me wanna RUN to those cafes!!!
The store energy was buzzing with excitement and not a soul attending could be found without a smile spread across their face… you can check the picture yourself… I have nothing to hide ;p
Of course I just had to take in all the eye candy around me!!! Racks and racks of brands like Alexis Bittar, Anna Sui, Claudia, Colcci, Cynthia Steffie, Dolce Vita, Drykorn, Ella Moss, Hanky Panky, James Perse, K by Karl Lagerfeld, Miss Sixty, Nougat, Matt & Nat (phew… deep breath…), Tolani, True Religion, Twenty8Twelve, and Velvet (and that’s just getting started) you could say that I went a little into sensory overload!!!
I loved the atmosphere of the night… with bloggers comes photographers, video documentation and url swapping! It was a fashion frenzied free-for-all of blog “artistes” capturing the nights ventures through their unique perspectives… snapping up great fashion looks and sharing their discoveries with their best friends and co-workers.
Above, the ever so divine Stephanie Godet from the Modern Antoinette blog… I didn’t actually get to meet her in person that night, but have been getting to know her via blogspot ever since… LOVED what she was wearing!
Missaa of Elle M la Mode holds a great insiders look into the world of Montreal Fashion… and I love her feather tassle necklace…
The nights events were impeccably planned… upon arriving guests were signed in and given little detailed place cards walking us through the evenings itinerary. “Grab a drink and a sweet snack here, then head over to the Billie Girls photographer and snap a pic… keep watch of the giveaway draw and don’t forget your gourmet chocolate and marshmallow gift bag on the way out!”. It was like giving pirates detailed maps to an island of gold… X marks the spot baby!
Here I am, being a good girl and doing what I’m told
Thank you Pierre-Luc for an adventurous and equally fun mini-photoshoot!!! How very glam with the upholstered satin walls!
Pierre-Luc… photographer mastermind… we bonded over our love for extreme heels… *le sigh*
Ok… this is my money shot right here! Look at those cupcakes!!! I am drooling as I type just remembering the ten two that I ate…
Don’t you just adore happy people?!?
One of the items I absolutely fell in love with was this leather fringe bag…. my intense love for all things rocker/cowboy (does that even make sense) crippled me from conversations with others while I zeroed in on the beautiful detailing of this uber trendy piece. If I wasn’t so focused on so many other things that night… you would most probably be seeing it in one of my 514 Outfit Posts… and the price… very reasonable in comparison to its breathtaking craftsmanship!
Co-owner of the Billie Boutique, the striking Annie di Lalla (left… obviously… once again, I’m a loser…) indulges in her passion for fashion and styling every day, a dream she has always held close to her since she was a kid. Annie and Veronique, you should be very proud of your sensational boutique and the collection of unique pieces that make it up! I am quite a fan of your obvious hard work, dedication and diversity (blog, online store, boutique). Kudos to the both of you!
Omg… are these shoes not TO DIE FOR?!? I can’t help but picture what they would look like paired with faded skinny jeans and a vintage burgundy Bottega Venetta clutch… *drools*
Hehehehe… I love this pic… everyone doing their own thang… say cheese!
The Smarties clutch… as I would like to call it… too cute!
A very vintage Chiquita… with a beautiful retro hat…
Breaking into the goody bag… Mmmmmmm….
Do you see her eyes?!?! Such a beautiful shade of blue… wowsers!
I met some wonderfully talented people, so thank you all for making my night such a memorable experience! You can follow Billie on twitter and Facebook for updates on events, blog posts and Montreal happenings…and of course to sneak a peek at all the other bloggers who attended the event.
Be sure to stop by and check them out if you are ever in the plateau area – I know I sure will
