514 Outfit Post – Retro Spandex Red
So I’m hoping all of you out there are having a relaxing, warm weekend… filled with home made comfort food (warm sinful chocolate chunk cookies with a glass of cold creamy milk), frothed bubble baths, flannel pajamas and big fleecy blankets curled up in front of the tube with an obscene amount of movies (or in my case still Nip/Tuck… still trekking through the seasons and still completely OBSESSED!!!).
This weekend (thanks to my beautiful new white iPhone), I let Jamie Oliver school my ass in the kitchen with his 20 minute meal app. Love at first bite! I fell in love with Jamie about a year ago when my aunt got me one of his cook books as a birthday gift. Normally I would just add a cook book to my book shelf and let the dust accumulate… however when I onced over the beautiful photography full of fresh and uber simple ingredients – the food seemed achievable. Hence the fun began. Whenever I feel inspired in the culinary arts, I know I can trust Mr.Oliver to deliver to an inexperienced such as myself and make it work on the first try
I suggest trying his recipes – no such thing as disappointment, and super healthy… fresh herbs and veggies give the most flavorful tastes!
So lately, if you haven’t already noticed I have been super feeling all things retro. Vintage clothing, styles, colors… heck – even super modern looking things that can be twisted in an old school way. I can’t help but feel incredibly playful with my fashion. All these dreams of my Parisian escape coming up this year have got me dressing whimsical and a tad more “expressive extreme”. I no longer want to wear things just because they are beautiful (I’m not sure that really was ever the case…) I want to wear them because they make me smile and feel special. More like a little girl. Of course the new bangs are just what I needed to add some juvenile fun to my looks…
My baby pugasaurus rex!
I have a very important announcement to make! If you want pants that give you fabulous bootang and suck all the junk up in your trunk to where it ought to be please proceed immediately to American Apparel!!! I swear, when I was at the store I looked at these like they were something I could never EVER in a million years pull off. I was wrong (I think)… they are super flattering and mega comfy. Oh, and your gut CAN’T hang out of them like it would with low waisted jeans… hehehehehehe… tricks for eating more treats!
Speak and breathe only beautiful things
My paper loves. I am a major reading fetishist. Nothing can compete with an amazingly written and captivating book paired with creative and stimulating images (no perves – not porn). One day I’m sure I will be able to build my future house out of filled book shelves alone…
Ever since I got this headband, I have not taken it off (well of course except to sleep)… Love the acrylic flowers and the drooping chains – very Harajuku girl of me! I will be setting up shop (online) soon and are interested what you guys would be interested in seeing on there. Accessories, shoes, clothes, makeup… or a little bit of everything?!? The plan for my Fashion Shop is to showcase my favorite fashion finds and creations at an affordable price ideal for gifts or a little self spoiling. Whaddya think???
Lovin’ my vinyl Sinatra… there is something about a man that sings like a gentleman that makes me swoon…
And well… sometimes I can get carried away…
PUG!!! Love the mug layin’ on the rug (ooooohhhh… watch out Kanye – I’m comin’ to getcha)
