A Few New Colourful Etsy Shop Adds…
Good evening lovelies. I feel like it’s been forever since I got a moment to sit down and pour my heart into a post!
I’ve been having some beautiful days with friends and family from far off lands visiting – it’s been pretty go, go, go for a while now. Amidst the essential caffeine, jabber, and fun has come a new interest I’ve been keen on pursuing for a while now. Diving into my birthday present of watercolours (a set the man gifted me), I’ve become somewhat obsessed with playing out their properties via notecard creation. When the sun goes down and the babe is in bed, I break out my painting set and fight of fatigue for a moment of productive zen. Having grown up watching my grandmother master watercolours (she really was brilliant with them), they always seemed so intimidating. Paint whose consistency and opacity could change completely with a drop of water. Overlapping, the uncertainty of what it will look like as it dries… and then I tried them for myself. Stunning hues, and nothing less than an informative practice every time I let my surrounding world drop off in focus.
I’m kind of addicted to learning these. I kind of love the way they work. Paint has never been my thing, but these have slight minds of their own, and I like that I can’t completely control their outcome.
Having said that, I predict a filled up shop by Christmas at the rate my obsession is going (I try to more or less complete a set every night). I’ve had so many plans for my little Etsy spot for so long now, I can’t stress how incredible it feels to finally be pursuing it! So stop by and take a look with the ones in this post in mind (I’ve already sold two sets, so the listings will fluctuate rather quickly as they get put up). My passion is my pleasure, I hope you like!
