514 Outfit Post – Babymooning At Home

Happy friday friends!

It’s this mama-to-be’s final stretch (38 weeks), and although I’m feeling great, just can’t seem to escape what’s come to be my daily extensive nap sessions.  Tying up loose ends today and this weekend while in a bit of disbelief that my little man could show up at any point now (exciting!).  Breakfast and Ikea trip tomorrow am with my dad to pickup our new sofa bed (our home will be seeing many visitors in the next few weeks), maternity shoot in the afternoon with the man and puggus, and finishing up the remainder of what needs to be stashed away in storage.  My pre-baby maternity leave has flown by, and I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten anything in gear without the extra time.  My mind feels ready for what my body needs to do, and there isn’t an ounce of fear left in my body regarding the whole birthing process (something that was definitely not always the case!).

The man and I didn’t have a chance to escape the city for a babymoon this year (it’s been quite a busy one for us to say the least), but are hoping to make up for it in the coming months with baby boy amongst us.  We have however, been in something of a honeymoon state throughout the pregnancy – enjoying each other fully in our favourite city spots.  Late night spicy virgin caesars at different locales, bed-in movie marathon nights snuggled up together, spontaneous coffee date breaks from work, and hand-holding walks all around town.  He’s my penguin love, and I couldn’t imagine life without him.
