514 Outfit Post – Montreal’s Own Advika Ethical Clothing

So I’ve been really feeling quite under the weather lately… can’t seem to beat this uber tired feeling that takes over and seems to consume me :( .  I have been mega hating that I am totally reliant on coffee these days (caffeine to the espresso extreme doesn’t do much good for my nervous system)… trying to break the habit and find a healthier alternative does prove to be a feat in itself.  Downing water, green tea and boosting my green intake… hopefully I’ll be seeing some results soon and reclaim my much needed energy :) .

This evening I had my first Burlesque Lesson with Miss Scarlett James!  It was super fun but boy o boy do I have a lot of work to do!  I have zero dance/co-ordination/seduction background/appeal, so it’s really hitting on all of my weaknesses… but that’s exactly what I like – a challenge!  And… I think I found my burlesque name… what do you think about “Jackie Oh LaLa!”?!?  I was having dinner with my babe and a fellow student and we all seem to think it fits… very exciting!!!

On another note… I would like to take this opportunity to shout out to Advika for making this dress specially for me in black!  Thank you so much for sending me this – I will be wearing this tirelessly all summer :) … been playing around with the drawstrings on the sides of the dress and am loving the many ways it transforms.  An amazing basic piece.  For those of you who are not familiar with the clothing line, it is composed and made up of natural fabrics such as bamboo, soy, hemp and organic cotton.  Awesome tube tops, pants and tops in beautifully vibrant colors make great wardrobe staples (and you will love how the fabrics feel).

What I’m Wearing

  • Advika Soy drawstring dress
  • Leather lookalike leggings… I think these are from Urban Behaviour… not sure
  • FCUK sandals
  • DVF leather jacket
  • Necklace from Morocco (gift from Vlad’s mom’s travels)
  • D&G sunnies
  • John Hardy bamboo hoop earrings
  • Crocodile belt (from my travels to South Africa)
  • Ring from my travels to Peru (I’m rocking an international outfit here yo!)

Tomorrow is another day… *sigh*… we’ll see where it leads me :)
