Baby Nolan – The Sweetest Shower

Baby Nolan – The Sweetest Shower

Good morning!

The past few days have left me recovering from some intense fatigue (little man is getting heavier by the day at nearly 35 weeks!).  The excitement of my baby shower last Sunday seems to have done me in (and my oh my was it action packed!).  Baby boys in attendance, other expectant moms-to-be, and great friends/family to celebrate this incoming tiny human (I can’t believe it’s only a matter of a month at this point)!  Felt so incredibly blessed and spoiled to have so much love and support directed my way.  This baby boy already has so many amazing people in his life, I truly couldn’t ask for more.  I can’t quite express the amount of relief that comes with feeling that much more prepared too.  It feels like I can finally relax and pace myself a little more.  Do a few more things I enjoy without the hectic undertone (cooking and freezing meals is my current obsession… only problem is me eating them when I feel lazy as I go along, lol).

Mornings start slow with my beau at home, sipping large pools of black tea with knitting sessions in my pyjamas.  Afternoon activities consist of hunting down ingredients and home improvement pieces to keep me busy in the late afternoons and evenings.  Brisk walks in the cold.  Movie nights in bed.  Long baths and even longer reads.  Muffin and cheese consumption has hit an all time high, and I can’t help but laugh at the extra roundness starting to make it’s appearance on my body.  I’m becoming a soft ball of pudge, and I like it.

The bag that was bigger than me…

Somehow, I still fit into this DVF number of mine (squeezed is a good word for how I got into it sans zipper or button do-ups)…

My gorgeous guests!

Baby boy will be Bumbo’ing!

The beautiful host with me and the man (these two make a great team).

A few of the marshmallow dip-dyed skewers I made for the party favour bags (just dip those babies into food-colored water – it’s that easy!).

The man and I would like to thank everyone SO MUCH for all the beautiful words, wishes, gifts, and time spent in honour of little Mr. Nolan.  We can’t wait to introduce you in a few weeks time!

Have a beautiful Thursday,
