Currently Coveting – Annabelle’s Spring Pastel Collection

Currently Coveting – Annabelle’s Spring Pastel Collection

It’s been mind staggeringly cold here in Montreal (-23 celsius, but feels like -45).  This morning I squeezed into an old jacket of mine so I could burrow my face in an assortment of cashmere scarves and headbands underneath a buttoned-up hood.  Within a ten minute walk your nostrils are sticking together from within, your eyes are watering (not fun after you’ve taken time to perfect an eye makeup look in the am), and your legs numb.  My ears still ache of windburn from bracing the cold without a hat yesterday.  It’s days like these where summer dreams and beaches fill my head… only two more months till the worst is over and done (repeat for sanity).

In light of hanging in there, Annabelle releases it’s pastel pretty spring collection.  Weather may be beyond my control, but at least I can spruce up my makeup routine with some wearable sorbet.

BigShow Lip Shine in Rock, Glow, and Attract (great pigment, non-stick gloss with a slick sheen).

Matching Lipliner in Buff (already a fave – I’ve been wearing it throughout the holidays), Hot Pink, and Corail.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Blake Lively-worthy inner eye illuminator/shimmer for a while now, and was ecstatic when these two eyeshadow TwistUps (all new adds to the Annabelle line) found their way to my mailbox.  Only tried Pearl so far (right stick), but Gold looks promising paired with a deep red lip.  This shadow goes on like a cream, dries without creasing on the lid, lasts all day, but isn’t quite as opaque as I hoped for.  Going to try this as a base primer for classic powder eye looks to boost that radiance.

The whole collection will be available in stores this month.  Must buy?  A BigShow gloss with it’s corresponding liner – nothing captures my heart quite like lip duos.
