Fashionista Finds – The Guggenheim App
Happy Canada Day fellow Canucks!
Before I get ready to watch my mom strut her stuff in our local town parade, I wanted to share with you my latest obsession – the Guggenheim museum app.
I’ve been abusing it since last friday (when I originally downloaded it), and can’t get enough of the history behind each of the works. Unlike other guide apps that require you to be at the actual location to use them (or force you to buy them), this art-lovers resource lets you in on the museum’s entire permanent collection (while letting you know which temporary displays are currently going on). Features such as audio guides (also compatible using the exhibit piece numbers), written summaries, artwork zoom features, and thorough visitor’s information make NY culture/happenings accessible worldwide.
Well worth it’s effort as a free download discovery – a truly impressive way of getting better acquainted with the fine arts. My below screenshots are nothing on the actual experience (I highly recommend exploring it for yourself)…
Happy birthday Canada – cheers to the most open-minded, well-rounded country in the world!
