Foodspiration – Mama Eats Plants Feed
Today was a culinary treat.
Went out to one of my favourite french lunch spots for authentic Parisian cheese fondue and hot chocolate fondant. Everything on the menu looked both hearty and delicious (a la french onion soup, spicy dijon, and those little pickles you always want there to be more of). The past two weeks I’ve been going all out with comfort foods (apparently baby is on a mission to pack on the extra pounds before due day).
Over the period of time I’ve been able to stay home and leisurely prepare and select my food, I’ve come to respect it a whole lot more. There is so much beauty in taking the time to eat properly, feed the ones you love right, and enjoy the entire experience of it all (not to mention, satisfaction). Food feeds both the body, and the soul (well fed homes are by far the happiest!). There are so many tricks to cooking and baking. So many superfood ingredients that leave you feeling incredible and energized throughout your days. While my cravings may still very much be stuck in winter mode (heavier, creamier, and thicker), I can’t wait till my hormones have subsided and I’m back to yearning for light, whole, water-based nutrition this summer. While I adore food blogs and baking sites for their amazing recipes, there is something even more inspiring about the sites dedicated to healthy alternatives.
Mama Eats Plants. A blog and instagram feed I simply can’t get enough of (both visually and recipe idea-wise). Fresh, wholesome, gorgeous, and awe-inducing. A constant reminder these days that my next big purchase must be a Vitamix. Can’t wait to whip up daily versions of these shakes for myself!
Simply stunning. When the food you ingest is naturally this beautiful, it sets the standard for the rest of the day.
