Insta Recap – Winter Wonderland
All I can say is, friday I bow down to you. More than ready to shuffle home tonight and descend into deep restful oblivion, this weekend will be a whole lot of nesting and shutting in. If it doesn’t involve food, sleep, organizing, or pampering myself – count me out! My week at a glance…
I’m starting to really feel the extra weight with back pain, pelvic pressure, and a plethora of end-of-the-day aches and pains. The final stretch is upon me! Compared bump sizes – what a difference two months makes… restructuring my diet to include more naturally sweet foods without the crazy sugar. Dates, bananas, persimmons, honey – all craving satisfiers (at 26 vs. 20 weeks, this baby is begging to be fattened up)!
The Christmas spirit is upon me like no other year! Sneaking little stocking stuffers to work to wrap on my lunch break, I smuggle them home and hide them under the tree. Wrapping presents feels therapeutic, and the gorgeous smell of pine envelopes me when I walk through the door at the end of the day. The tree lights, the glitter – isn’t this time of the season the most beautiful? Looking forward to making a lot of homemade gifts this year (starting with little man’s baby blanket – I’ve been knitting till my hands cramp up every night, the price of progress!).
Getting antsy to purchase the last of what little man will need upon his arrival… pretty much down to a car seat, crib, high chair, swing, and stroller (I’ve got the little stuff covered)! If pregnancy makes you anything, it’s a general hoarder of cuteness. I can’t wait to have everyone I love together for a meal during my baby shower in February (also looking forward to the hospital tour, prenatal classes, and breastfeeding courses that month). Dreaming of maternity leave on the daily is my current salvation.
How adorable is this organic onesie from Kiehl’s? They spoiled baby boy and I last trip in.
Really, really loving the fabric-wrapping furoshiki approach to giving gifts this year. Gorgeous, simple, reusable. If you’re looking for something fun, punchy, and for a good cause, Vivienne Westwood teamed up with Lush for these organic cotton Climate Revolution beauties. All proceeds from each limited-edition wrap go to the environmental charity itself.
Been getting nostalgic lately, flipping through old photo albums. Something about developed film that’s so much more magical than anything digital can perfect. Moments seem more real, hold more authenticity. I love revisiting emotion of the past.
And so many beauty goodies to test!
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!Posted under 514 Outfit Post, cosmetics, family, makeup, montreal, Uncategorized by Robyn
